The Hans Foundation & NGO Sabuj Sangha jointly launch ‘Community Health Program’ in Sundarban Delta Region

The Hans Foundation ensures that through partnership with NGO-Partners, the health care services reach the most interior villages of India to improve quality of life especially of disadvantaged groups –women, adolescents, children, elderly and persons with disability.

NGO Sabuj Sangha is committed to improving the lives of poor and marginalized people in Sundarban Delta Region in West Bengal. In April’2015, The Hans Foundation in partnership with Sabuj Sangh has initiated ‘Community Health Program’ aligned with objective of THF on safety and protection of mother and child.

Sabuj Sangh will provide health care services through its rural hospital ‘Swarnlata Sabuj Seva Sadan’ in Nandankumarpur GP and other outreach centers. The Hans Foundation is extending funding support for running of the rural hospital and outreach centers for uninterrupted health services.

On August 7, 2015, launch event of ‘Community Health Program’ was organized at Shibananda Hall of Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Kolkata.

Honorable Dr, P.B.Salim, IAS, District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas, inaugurated the launch of Community Health Program. Others present on the occasion were esteemed guests-Ms. Debashree Roy, MLA, Raidighi Constituency, Swami Chidrupananda Maharaj, Assistant Secretary & Librarian of Ramakrishna Mission Institute.

Foundation was represented by Ms. Jagrity Sharan, Program Manager.

The safe motherhood program will ensure:

  • Apposite ante–natal and post–natal care
  • Institutional delivery for the pregnant women, lactating mother’s care – 100% child immunization with the effort of health workers, MBBS Doctors, Paramedics, Nurses and other program staffs.
